This is the first useful video I have watched in months. Appreciate your way!❣❣
i used to work in a big broadsheet company for 15 years, until before pandemic hits, i quit and do freelance. major negative gamble. it is only now i get to see some payoffs.
looks good.
great thinking process.
love your videos and your work!
Could you do a video on starting a production company and the processes one must go through
I’ll be honest - I’m seriously considering starting one soon. Scared shitless. But I feel it’s a natural progression. So I might start a series about that in the near future.
Hey Nur, I'm really curious about the transition at 0:13. Is that an overlay of another shot with directional blur applied to the following clip?
I’ll try my best :) So I really like making these random shots on set just in case I’ll need to make transitions out of them. So this one in particular is just me randomly panning the camera back and forth pointing at an empty set decoration. So later in post I just overlayed that quick pan on top of the cut and it gave me this interesting look. Hope this helps :)
@@nur-niaz Love it. Thanks!

Thank you for the inspiration! very beautiful videos!
You are so welcome!
I have been creating videos on youtube for some good time but when I look at the old videos I get to relate to what your saying of just getting started and learn on the way, Thank you for sharing
I’ve got an idea, I think a lot of aspiring filmmakers should move on to do social media content for brands and influencers, it’s not the same as commercials, but you can definitely get recurring customers from this
You’re right. I am halfway there I think. At least seriously considering moving away from traditional agency/production work.
Filmmaker here and what Nur says is correct. I have pivoted a lot in this career of being a filmmaker I have 15 years of experience and I'm back at filming weddings/events. It took me ten of those years to barely see a profit, but in my opinion this career is a business first and I think people forget that. My advice is work for everyone and anyone but do not forget to return the favor and always show up for the people who have helped you in your journey. Building relationships with people and having a community is far better than any gear you will have. Also, don't forget to have fun with what you're doing.
Hard facts.
It’s who you know and who puts you on. That’s what gets you the skill and experience to spiral upwards
You’re not wrong about that!
Couldn't agree more 🫡
when you say small budgets what are we looking at? like 15k? 5k? ect? studio would be normally 1k per day 3 x models 1k (total 3k) director 2k dop 1.4k rental 2k edits 3k. how far off is this?
Not even close. This was a sub $1k thing. Mind you this was shot in Kazakhstan.
great breakdown of the in and out of being a freelance film makers and advice to the ones who are entering into this space like me 👍🏽✊🏾
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was so inspiring, thank you so much! Can I ask how you make money from creating these? is it from the clothing brand?
These things only eat money if you consider it short term. Long term thought they’re investments into your personal brand as a director. They show potential clients/productions/agencies what your true voice and style is like outside of commercials.
Awesome video bro. Nobody can prepare you for the rollercoaster, but this video helps =)
True that!
Amazing work brother. Love your channel. 2:18 What lens is this?
Thanks. This was Arri Alura 45-250 t2.6 zoom.
i cried in the beginning of the video ,because i lost 30 years and got NOTHING
This is sad but I am hoping you’re underestimating your progress.
im at the beggining of this journey and i can feel the strugle, everything is so expensive, i dont know if its gonna ever pay off or if im gonna end old and broke, but i dont want to give up, i think its the most interesting journey path i can come up with, life is life
Often the most uncertain paths lead to the greatest destinations. You got this!
thanks a lot for this video.
You are most welcome
Thank you ❤
Welcome!
Real one
phenomenal video
❤
Hey make more short films
I’m constantly trying to.
Fashion films do have a lot of storytelling, have you seen Gucci"s or LV's films?
Yeah but not this type. A simple Lookbook ≠ fashion film.
this is highly helpful and inspiring as well. i always look forward to your videos.
I appreciate that!
Powerful work 🔥 I am also working on doing a fashion spec ad this summer and this is great inspo, Nur !
Go for it!
your work is incredible and I love this video concept, thank you for sharing, this is so inspiring.
Thank you so much!
What app you made moodboard in 0:56 ?
Milanote
Milanote
Many thanks for your existence
Brother this was dope! I’m curious, how’d you get the light rays text effect at the end credits? It was cool and different than the typical glow effect
it’s a duplicate text overlay with Zoom Blur effect applied and then that layer’s opacity is set to 40-50%
Great Tutorial!
Thanks!
I always bring music, drinks and snacks. Helps greatly!
Found so much value! Thanks so much for your knowledge! For me is usually very difficult when it comes to fashion brands. Usually their main goal is to produce the look book or e commerce photos than giving importance to the video. Can't seem to find the right clients I guess! Again, thanks a lot
Glad it was helpful!
This flash transition was so helpful. Great job, Niaz
Glad it was helpful!
As a person who is understanding that work and relationships do need balance especially if you want to make your life sustainable many challenges I been going through with work and my girl an this has helped me out alot could you do a part 2

Dont you think grain is overpowering and makes detailes in clothes hardly visible?
It might be, but also it’s a spec and I love grainy film stocks so maybe not really…
that purple spotlight photo at 0:57 is my photo! lovely video 🫡
